Washington House Divas Meet The Kennedy Center Divas

Residents of The Fountains at Washington House were dolled up with feather boas to attend a drag salute to Divas and Devos at The Kennedy Center. This show celebrates diversity and individuality in hopes of inspiring people to embrace their differences. Everyone was stunned when the show started with the Diana Ross female impersonator Shi-Quetta Lee singing, “I’m coming out, I want the world to know, got to let it show.” The residents and the entire audience were cheering, clapping and dancing in their seats especially when she came down the stage to greet everyone. This performance was followed by many more impersonations of the world’s top musical legends such as Liza Minnelli singing “New York, New York,” Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, Tina Turner, Marvin Gaye, Tammi Terrell, Sade and Lady Gaga. It was an hour full of fun, surprises, and great music and the residents could not stop raving about the show and sharing the experience with friends and family.
