Our fun-filled themed event celebrating St. Patrick’s Day was a big hit with all the residents, staff and guests from Watermark China who joined us at The Fountains at Washington House. This is a two day celebration starting the day before St. Patrick’s Day with a strolling accordionist who played traditional Irish tunes during our social event to set the mood for the party. After dinner, the residents were treated to a wonderful performance by the Beau Soir Ensemble featuring violist Jennifer Ries, harpist Michelle Lundy and flutist David Lonkevich. They performed a great program from Celtic music to Classical.
Beau Soir Ensemble is a flute, viola and harp trio dedicated to the performance of standard and contemporary repertoire spanning a variety of genres.
On the St. Patrick’s Day, residents were treated to our regular mix and mingle social hour with Irish beer, Irish themed dinner and were entertained by a solo harp concert by Emily Mason which highlighted some sing-along Irish tunes and Ms. Mason’s travel experience in Ireland.
